As the title suggests, the film tells the story of a family who are like parasites in korean dramas. They take over a rich family, the Parks. The Kim family, who were very poor at the start of the film, lived in a small, old apartment that was a bit like a basement. They worked as pizza box folders, earning very little money. However, one of their relatives, Min-hyuk (played by Park Seo-joon), gives them a chance to make extra money by becoming private tutors for the Park family.
Ki-Woo accepts the offer and starts working there, and slowly they insert their family members one by one under assumed names (not knowing each other) into the Park family with different jobs. Eventually, they take over the family, even making the Park family’s mother their maid.

In-ho tried to report it to the police, but their case was immediately closed. It was as if the teachers and the government (police and prosecutors) had been working together for a long time.
During this struggle, one of Min-su’s students was killed after refusing to sleep with a teacher. When the government got involved and organized a protest, the police used pepper spray to disperse the students.
